After meeting at a dinner party, Liberty Ross and Genetic founder and creative director Ali Fatourechi realized they had something in common: a love for comfortable denim. So it's no surprise that the duo revealed a six-piece capsule collection to editors this morning. While checking it out, Sophia and I spoke with the duo to get the scoop on the glamorous grunge collection.

Glamour: What was your inspiration for the collection?

Liberty Ross: It's kind of like L.A. and London weaved together because my life has always been in both places. I personally think there's a big revival in disco right now, we're hearing it all over again and seeing it in all of these movies. So reviving the '70s and '80s. The jacquard is based on a Canturi ring because I love graphic lines and the mix of metallics. When I saw that fabric I thought, Hmm, yeah that could do as part of my line. And then I went with the plaid because the tones are really subtle and that kind of reflects McQueen and Westwood and all of the people I grew up with in London during the '90s.
